Our first year in Oregon

This past weekend marked the one year anniversary of our move to Oregon from L.A.

One year ago we packed up everything we own and headed North. Our caravan consisted of a 15 foot Budget truck pulling a car, followed by a car.

It was the most horrendous move I've had yet (and there have been a lot of moves in the last 10 years).

The first half was all desert and the second half was all treacherous mountains and switchbacks.

I'm going to post a ton of pictures in the next few days that show the most poignant parts of our first year as Oregonians. But first, I just want to say that looking back over the past year, "perspective" has been the main theme.

I think these two pictures do an excellent job of demonstrating just that.
